According to the TrendForce report, the average price of battery-grade lithium carbonate in China dropped to RMB 198,000 per ton in April, a monthly decrease of 39%. Although the price decline has widened compared to the previous month, there are signs of stabilization and recovery in lithium salt prices in mid-to-late April. TrendForce indicates that Chinese power battery manufacturers have almost cleared their inventories, and the supply-demand relationship has gradually returned to normal after more than a quarter of market adjustment. TrendForce also observes that the price of battery materials is gradually stabilizing, and with the steady growth of market demand, there are signs of recovery in the Chinese power battery industry chain. As downstream demand rebounds, it is expected to see a full recovery in June.
