by Jennifer

Dow Jones futures are poised to open on Sunday evening, alongside S&P 500 futures and Nasdaq futures, following a significant week for the Nasdaq and leading equities.

Apple (AAPL), Amazon.com (AMZN), Novo Nordisk (NVO), Eli Lilly (LLY), Super Micro Computer (SMCI), and Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) are among the key companies reporting earnings this week. Additionally, investors await the latest Federal Reserve meeting and the release of the monthly jobs report.

Despite concerns raised by an alarming inflation report, the stock market demonstrated robust resilience in the past week, driven by strong earnings from large-cap companies. Notably, the Nasdaq and leading stocks showcased notable strength, with tech giants reporting robust growth and committing to substantial investments in artificial intelligence (AI).

AI chipmakers such as Nvidia (NVDA), Broadcom (AVGO), and Astera Labs (ALAB) flashed buy signals, alongside AppLovin (APP), KLA (KLAC), Cava Group (CAVA), and Embraer (ERJ).

Several other stocks have also displayed buy signals ahead of their earnings reports scheduled for this week, including Hubbell (HUBB), Wingstop (WING), Texas Roadhouse (TXRH), and Generac (GNRC).

Investors are advised to acknowledge the evolving nature of the market while exercising caution alongside renewed bullish sentiment. Notably, major indexes remain below their 50-day moving averages. The outcome of the heavy earnings calendar could potentially sway market dynamics and sector performances, with Super Micro and AMD assuming significance in the AI hardware sector. Apple, although a laggard, remains a formidable tech giant with a vast iPhone ecosystem, making any AI-related hints impactful across a spectrum of stocks.

The upcoming Federal Reserve meeting and the release of key economic data also hold the potential to influence the nascent market rally.

Noteworthy stocks such as Nvidia, Novo Nordisk, Generac, KLA, and Cava are featured on IBD Leaderboard, while Eli Lilly is on the Leaderboard watchlist. Nvidia is also highlighted on SwingTrader, and KLA is listed on IBD Long-Term Leaders. Wingstop, Hubbell, and Texas Roadhouse are part of the IBD 50, while Broadcom, Hubbell, and Super Micro are included in the IBD Big Cap 20. Cava was designated as Friday’s IBD Stock Of The Day.
